- MONTGOMERY: Starting at 6 p.m., there will be games, activities, live music on the front lawn of Montgomery High School, 1014 Rt. 601, Skillman. Food will include hotdogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken and pizza to deserts like cheesecake, ice cream and kettle corn and funnel cakes. The John Oakes Band will be playing hits from today and yesterday at 7 p.m. up on the stage. After the singing of the Star Spangled Banner at dusk (around 9:15 p.m.), a spectacular display of patriotic fireworks will be held. Bring a blanket or chairs, alcohol is prohibited and all pets must remain at home. For more information visit montgomeryfireworks.org.
Saturday, June 30:
- HILLSBOROUGH: Hillsborough's Independence Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 30 at 5 p.m. at Auten Road Intermediate School. The celebration will include an afternoon and evening of entertainment, family fun, and the food tent followed by Hillsborough's Fireworks show at night. Click here for more information.

- FRANKLIN: Beginning at 6 p.m. will be live music, food trucks and kids activities at Franklin Township Municipal Complex, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset. Fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Rain date is Friday, July 6. For more information, contact Franklin Recreation 732-873-1991 option 4.
Wednesday, July 4:
BRIDGEWATER: Somerset County's annual July 4th Fireworks Display will be held on Wednesday, July 4 at 9:30 p.m. at North Branch Park on Milltown Road in Bridgewater. Admission is free to July 4 celebration and food is available for purchase. North Branch Park gates will open at 6 p.m. to allow vehicles to enter the park and families to picnic on park grounds. The fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m. Visitors should plan to arrive early. Milltown Road will be closed at around 9 p.m. Heavy car and foot traffic is expected. The NJ 3rd Regiment Revolutionary War encampment will be onsite. Click here for more information.
