Somerville Local Named To 2017 NJAC Roster

Kean University senior and men's soccer team athlete, Alex Noriega of Somerville, earned his first All-NJAC selection this year.

SOMERVILLE, NJ — A Somerville local was among three members of the Kean University men’s soccer team to be recently added to the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) roster.

Senior Alex Noriega of Somerville was named to the Honorable Mention team. Freshman Vinceroy Nelson of Piscataway was named 2017 Rookie of the Year. Nelson also earned a spot on the second team of the All-NJAC selection alongside junior Erick Reyes of Summit.

“The main lesson I want my players to learn is that hard work will always pay off,” said Peter-John Falloon, head soccer coach at Kean. “If you want to be successful, you have to go the extra mile.”
