Farmstead Arts to showcase the photography of Roberta C. Scott - January 3 - 29

Farmstead Arts is pleased to showcase the photography of Roberta C. Scott in a virtual solo show entitled Southwest Retrospective – Desert Views.
The show will run online at www.farmsteadartscenter.org from January 3 - January 29.
Over the years, Scott has been drawn to the mystery of the desert with its spiraling saguaro cacti and the grandeur of spring flowers bursting into bloom.

The photographic retrospective of Arizona presented in this virtual exhibit was inspired by the depth and height of canyons; the wild fury of monsoon skies and the influences of Native American and Hispanic cultures. Scott commented, “I sincerely hope this exhibit will introduce you, the viewer, to a part of the USA that may magically call to you as it did to me.”
Scott, who has been photographing for over 35 years, was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and is currently a resident of Middlesex. Her body of work encompasses aspects from landscapes to still-life. She finds beauty in the ordinary and the expected, using the lens and light to capture that special moment for the viewer. Scott has been published in Garden Magazine and was featured on Channel 8 Cable TV for her exhibit of nature photographs. She has conducted photography workshops for community based organizations and was an instructor for five years for the “Becoming an Outdoors Woman” program sponsored by the New Jersey Division of Fish & Wildlife.
