A severe thunderstorm was located over parts of New Jersey, moving east at 35 mph and producing 60-mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail, the NWS said.

Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs, siding, trees and power lines is possible.

The National Weather Service has also issued a hazardous weather outlook across the state, saying some thunderstorms later Tuesday and this evening could be severe with locally damaging winds and large hail.

Three consecutive days of severe weather are actually expected to target the corridor from the upper Ohio Valley to the mid-Atlantic through Thursday, according to AccuWeather.

As rain and thunderstorms streak from the Midwest to the Northeast into Thursday, the stage will be set for some of the thunderstorms to turn severe each afternoon and evening, according to AccuWeather.

"It appears that the states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland will have the highest risk for damaging thunderstorms and even a tornado," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Brett Anderson said in a release.
