Weekday Dog Walks Added To Lord Stirling Stable In Basking Ridge
Dogs must be leashed, have all required shots and be under control at all times.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Dogs no longer have to work for the weekend to get that Lord Stirling Stable walk. The Somerset County Park Commission and Friends of Lord Stirling Stable added walking events to Mondays and Wednesdays.
Lord Stirling Stable previously launched weekend dog walks. Now dogs and their humans will get led on the trails at 6 p.m. Monday, 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. Saturday (casual walk) and 10:30 a.m. Saturday (fast walk). Registration begins 15 minutes before each walk.
“Our weekend dog walks are a great way for the public to enjoy the beautiful equestrian trails of Lord Stirling Stable, as well as an opportunity to get some outdoor exercise in a safe environment during the COVID pandemic,” said Anna McLernon, Friends of Lord Stirling Stable President. “There’s the added bonus of plenty of sights and smells to entertain and tire out the pooches.”

The park will waive the $3-per-dog fee, but they welcome donations to the Friends of Lord Stirling Stable, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting its namesake.
