Woman Found With Suspicious Marks On Arms, Paraphernalia Held at Somerset County Jail

A 26-year-old Somerset County woman has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after being pulled over by a Sheriff's Officer.

A Somerset County woman who was found with suspicious marks on her arms and drug paraphernalia in her car is being held at the Somerset County Jail on drug and motor vehicle charges.

Somerset County Sheriff’s Officer Nicholas Fazio stopped Briana MacDowell, 26, of High Bridge, for motor vehicle infractions on Jan. 15, Somerset County Sheriff Frank Provenzano stated.

During the stop, Officer Fazio observed suspicious physical marks on MacDowell’s wrist and lower arms. The Officer also spotted bottle caps and cotton swabs within the tray of the center console. Fazio also found numerous drug paraphernalia items while executing a search warrant of the vehicle.

MacDowell was charged with multiple motor vehicle violations and possession of drug paraphernalia. During the stop, Officer Fazio also discovered that MacDowell had an active warrant out of Somerville.

She was transferred to the Somerset County Jail in lieu of bail set on the Somerville warrant. A pending hearing has been scheduled for March 4 at the Bridgewater court.
