2.6K Lose Power In Berkeley During Thunderstorm

Jersey Central Power & Light expects to restore power by 5 p.m. Wednesday.

BERKELEY, NJ — Here we go again! More than 2,000 customers lost power Wednesday in Berkeley as a storm passed through, according to Jersey Central Power & Light.

Most of Berkeley and Ocean County lost electricity Aug. 4 as Tropical Storm Isaias tore through New Jersey. Some didn't get power back for multiple days. But JCP&L expects to restore power by 5 p.m. Wednesday for the 2,617 customers who lost power in Berkeley.
