2 In Beachwood Charged With Distributing Heroin: Prosecutor
Two Beachwood residents were charged with distributing heroin, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced Monday.
BEACHWOOD, NJ — Two Beachwood residents were charged with distributing heroin, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced Monday. Authorities found 2,400 dosage units of heroin during a search of a Beachwood home on Dec. 18, the OCPO said.
Beachwood residents John Vaughn and Jennifer Vuono face charges. Their arrests culminated a two-month, multi-agency investigation into drug activity in the Ocean County area.
Vaughn, 47, was charged with possession of between one-half ounce and five ounces of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of heroin.

Vuono, 38, was charged with possession of between one-half ounce and five ounces of heroin with intent to distribute and two counts of heroin possession.
Both Vaughn and Vuono were charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe without a valid prescription.

Vaughn and Vuono were transported to the Ocean County Jail and released pending a future court date.
Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer commended the OCPO's Narcotics Strike Force, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Asset Forfeiture Unit, Beachwood Police Department Detective Bureau and Patrol Division and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, for their collaborative efforts in connection with this investigation.
