2 Unused Snow Days Extend Central Regional’s Memorial Day Weekend

Leading up to Memorial Day on Monday, May 31, students will also have off Thursday, May 27 and Friday, May 28 due to two unused snow days.

BERKELEY, NJ — Central Regional students will have an extended break for Memorial Day weekend due to two unused snow days.

Leading up to Memorial Day on Monday, May 31, students will also have off Thursday, May 27 and Friday, May 28.

In a letter to parents, Superintendent Triantafillos Parlapanides said the district did not use two snow days that were built into the 2020-21 school year.

On winter days with inclement weather, the district utilized virtual learning instead.

Due to virtual learning, the district will still meet the state's 180-day learning day requirement.
