Another Calm, Sunny Day At Ocean County Beaches
There's a low risk of rip currents, waves will only be 2 feet high, National Weather Service says
OCEAN COUNTY, NJ - The National Weather service is calling for another sunny late summer beach day in Ocean County.
The risk of rip currents is low, as it has been all week. But don't let your guard down. Rips can still occur anytime, anyplace, especially near jetties and other structures. Be sure and check with your local beach patrol about any problem areas. Never swim on an unguarded beach and never swim alone or at night.The NWS advises that you bring a flotation device with you in the water.
The sea will be fairly calm today, with waves around 2 feet and light swells. The ocean water temperature is 75 degrees, although that may vary depending upon the beach you go to.

Skies will be sunny, with temperatures only in the upper 70s. Winds will be from the southeast around 5 miles per hour. There is no lightning threat. So take advantage of the beach days while you can. Labor Day is just around the corner.
The ultraviolet index is an 8, which the NWS considers very high. So don't forget the sunscreen or you will hurt tonight.

High tide at Barnegat Inlet arrived at 7:46 a.m. Low tide will roll in at 1:54 p.m., followed by another high tide at 7:59 p.m.
