Authorities Extinguish Dump Truck Fire In Berkeley

No injuries were reported in the incident by the Robert J. Miller Airpark.

BERKELEY, NJ — Authorities extinguished a dump truck fire Friday morning in Berkeley. No injuries were reported.

The incident took place around 5 a.m. Friday just west on Route 530 and Mule Road, just west of the Robert J. Miller Airpark. The Manitou Park Fire Department extinguished the fire.

The driver heard a pop under the cab and then noticed flames coming from underneath the vehicle, according to Berkeley police. He stopped the truck in the road and exited.

The Ocean County Fire Marshall processed the vehicle before Accurate Towing removed it.
