Berkeley Hydrant Flushing May Affect Water Pressure, Color
Call the Berkeley Township Municipal Utilities Authority if you'd like advanced notice of when flushing may occur in your area.
BERKELEY, NJ — The Berkeley Township Municipal Utilities Authority will conduct hydrant flushing around town. The MUA expects flushing to take place from Monday through Nov. 6, and it would create low water pressure or discoloration.
It's difficult to determine when certain residents may see their water affected, according to Berkeley MUA Executive Director Michelle Nugent.
"(Workers) do kind of have a pattern through town," she told Patch. "But circumstances always arise, and they modify along the way."

Weather conditions and other circumstances could affect when work gets done. But last year, the MUA completed the work in four weeks.
Anyone who wants advanced notice of when hydrants will get flushed in their area can call the MUA at 732-237-0100.
