Berkeley Island Park Renaming Tomorrow
Berkeley Island Park will be renamed to the John C. Bartlett Jr. County Park tomorrow at 11 a.m.

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Ocean County government will be honoring one of their longest serving members tomorrow. Berkeley Island Park will be renamed to the John C. Bartlett Jr. County Park tomorrow at 11 a.m., according to Ocean County Government.
The decision to rename the park was made earlier this year, after Bartlett announced his retirement to health issues.
The park represents a watershed moment for Bartlett's career. After Superstorm Sandy, in 2012, the park was lost to the storm and Bartlett oversaw the redevelopment to get it back open in 2018.
