Berkeley Rec. Adds New Arts & Crafts Programs

Berkeley created programs for pre-K and after-school sessions for children K-6.

BERKELEY, NJ — Berkeley Township introduced two arts and crafts programs. One is for preschoolers, while the other is designed for kids K-6.

Pre-K Arts & Crafts

The sessions are for ages 3-5. Students will need a smock or apron. Parents should provide a medium or large backpack to fit their folder, personal belongings, snack, etc. Parents will receive a list of supplies for the first day of class, but most supplies will be provided.

The classes take place from 9-11 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Recreation Center (630 Atlantic City Blvd.). The program costs $140 per six-week session.

Session 1 takes place Sept. 4 through Oct. 11. Payment was due Aug. 14.

Session 2 runs from Oct. 14 through Nov. 22. Payment is due by Sept. 23.

After School Arts & Crafts

Providing after-school care for children grades K-6. Children are bussed to the Nature Study Center at 500 Western Blvd. Students can do their homework, use the playground, play basketball or get creative with daily arts and crafts.

The program is open 2-6 p.m. Monthly payments are $183 for the first child and $117 for the second and third child in the same household.
