Berkeley Still Among Shore's Lowest Parking Ticket Distributors
You're still less likely to get a parking ticket in Berkeley Township than almost anywhere else on the Jersey Shore, according to nj.com.
BERKELEY, NJ — Good news for Berkeley residents, and visitors who don't have year-round experience with their laws. Berkeley Township remains one of the Jersey Shore's least likely places to get a parking ticket.
NJ.com released its annual rankings of Shore towns that distribute the most parking tickets per square mile. The publication calculated ticket totals per square mile from July 2017 to June 2018.
Berkeley Township, in that timespan, distributed 156 parking tickets — 2.8 per square mile. The township ranks 42nd out of 44 towns on the list. Only Upper Township (0.43 tickets per square mile) and Cape May Point (zero parking tickets) ranked lower.

For perspective, Asbury Park ranked the highest with 20,235 parking tickets per square mile.
Berkeley Township issued 360 parking tickets — six per square mile — in that span the prior year, according to nj.com.
