Berkeley Township Receives Flag Honoring World War I Soldiers
Ocean County presented Berkley Township with a flag representative of the Berkeley Township residents that served in World War I.

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Ocean County honored the World War I service members of Berkley Township during the last council meeting. Ocean County presented Berkeley Township with a flag commemorating those who served in the Armed Forces during WWI as part of the centennial of the end of the war, according to Berkley Township.
The flag is designed with a blue 59 to represent the people who served in the Armed Forces during WWI and a gold two for those gave their lives in service, according to Berkley Township.
The Seaport Stitchers Quilt Guild of Tuckerton created the flag, and 27 others like it for the towns that existed in Ocean County during World War I, according Berkley Township.
