Berkeley's 'Night Out Against Crime' Postponed Due To Weather
The National Night Out even will take place at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 28.

BERKELEY, NJ — Berkeley Township's "Night Out Against Crime" has been postponed because of inclement weather. The event, originally scheduled for Wednesday evening, will take place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28.
The Infernos Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 28, showcasing music from four decades.
Berkeley police, firefighters and emergency services will be on hand to greet residents and display their equipment and vehicles.

"It allows the public to interact with our public safety agencies," Mayor Carmen F. Amato said in a statement. "Our award winning DARE Program will also be on hand with games and prizes for the children to enjoy."
Refreshments will be provided.

"Night Out Against Crime" is a National Night Out event. NNO, which took place nationally Tuesday, helps police departments around the nation build camaraderie with their communities and make them safer, more caring places to live and work.
