Central Regional Students Shine at Teen Arts Festival

Central Regional Students Shine at Ocean County Teen Arts Festival

During this year’s Ocean County Teen Arts Festival held on March 20, 2018 at Ocean County College, Central Regional TV Production and Visual Arts students were recognized and chosen to represent Ocean County at the New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival to be held at Ocean County College on May 31st, June 1st, and June 2nd.

Sophomore Matt Feretich was awarded an Outstanding Achievement for his video music montage production which was set to the song, Salami Rose by Emune and featured beautiful cinematography of the community. Juniors Ryan McNally and Anthony Block produced a music video that has been chosen to be featured at the Salute to Ocean County on April 19, 2018 at Ocean County College. Matt Feretich’s music video montage will also be featured at the Salute to Ocean County event.

Four Central Regional Visual Arts students were chosen to represent Ocean County at the State event. In the category 2D visual art, Noah Smith’s watercolor, Kayla Leary’s charcoal, and Bailey Carden’s acrylic, all seniors, will be featured. In the category 3D visual art, junior Olivia Alto’s clay piece will be featured at the state event.

Both the Salute to Ocean County and the New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival will showcase the students’ works to the public and qualify them to win scholarship award funds if chosen from all of the performance and visual arts pieces presented.
