BERKELEY, NJ — If you hear sirens from fire engines, it may not be an emergency: Santa Claus is making a pre-Christmas visit to Berkeley, and he started his rounds on Sunday.
The Bayville Volunteer Fire Department is escorting the Jolly Ol' Elf and the visits will take place nightly, subject to weather and emergencies.

The vehicles with Santa on them cannot stop at any homes however, he will have helpers who will be able to see as many people as possible and hand out candy canes.
Please keep in mind the sirens are loud; you may hear them nearby but they may not make it to every home. Every attempt will be made to pass down every highlighted street on each day’s map.
