WWE Legend King Kong Bundy To Be Honored In Berkeley

King Kong Bundy, whose real name was Christopher Pallies, has died at age 61.

WWE Legend and New Jersey native King Kong Bundy has died at age 61. One pro wrestling organization has already announced it will honor him in Berkeley.

The Superstars Wrestling Federation will recognize Bundy at SWF Megaslam 2019 on April 13 at the Berkeley Little League Indoor Community Center (43 Moorage Ave.).

"We at SWF Live Deeply saddened by this news… We were scheduled to bring King Kong Bundy to MEGASLAM this year and his death is truly upsetting," SWF Live Pro Wrestling Entertainment wrote on their Facebook page. "We will Honor him on April 13 Live at Megaslam Berkeley Little League." You can purchase tickets here.

Bundy, whose real name was Christopher Pallies, was born in Atlantic City, according to the WWE's website, which described as the "walking condominium." He performed against champion Hulk Hogan in the main event of WrestleMania 2 in 1986.

He was known for his avalanche splash, in which he would crush is opponent in the corner of the ring with his body. He would then demand the referee count to five when he pinned his opponent.
