4 Cars Stolen In Bloomfield, Including At Popeye’s Restaurant: PD
Bloomfield Police: Vehicle thefts were reported at a local Popeye's and Value Zone, as well as on Hill Street and Ridge/Baldwin.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Four separate vehicle thefts took place in a 48-hour span last week, including at a local Popeye’s restaurant and a Value Zone, Bloomfield police said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township.
Jan. 29 – “Officers responded to 73 Hill Street on report of a stolen vehicle. The complainant was with a female who he only knew for one day. This female stole his car keys while they were at his friend’s house. The vehicle is a 2004 Hyundai Sonata four-door (color white). The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen and recovered in Morristown. This incident is under investigation.”

Jan. 29 – “Complainant stated that she parked her vehicle on Jan. 29 at the corner of Ridge Avenue and Baldwin Street. When she returned on Jan. 30, the vehicle was gone. The vehicle is a 2018 Ford Focus four-door (color white). This incident is under investigation. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen.”
Jan. 29 – “A resident parked his vehicle at 18 Washington Street (Value Zone) and entered the store to shop. Once inside the store, he noticed through the glass window that an unknown person was driving away in his vehicle. The vehicle fled on Washington towards Franklin Street. The vehicle is a 2012 Dodge Journey, four-door (color grey). The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen. This incident is under investigation.

Jan. 30 – “An officer took a report of a stolen motor vehicle from Popeye’s (168 Bloomfield Avenue). The complainant parked her vehicle in the lot and entered the establishment. When she was inside, she observed her vehicle pulling out of the lot and flee east on Bloomfield Avenue. The vehicle is a 2010 Cadillac SRX wagon (color black). The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen. This incident is under investigation.”
