Armed Man Robs Woman In Bloomfield, Flees Scene: Police

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A man armed with a handgun robbed a woman as she was walking in Bloomfield on Saturday evening, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the robbery took place on Bloomfield Avenue near Ampere Parkway at 7 p.m.

The victim told officers that she was walking on Bloomfield Avenue when a man approached her, brandished a wooden-handled revolver and stole $300 in cash, along with $200 worth of items she’d recently purchased.

The man then fled the scene. He was last seen entering the passenger seat of a dark-colored vehicle, police said.

Bloomfield police are investigating the incident, authorities said Wednesday.
