Armed Robbery In Bloomfield; Suspects Flee Toward Belleville: PD

The victim told Bloomfield police that he was robbed at gunpoint while walking on Montgomery Street, authorities said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — An armed robbery recently ended in Bloomfield with the suspects fleeing the scene in the direction of Belleville, police said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the area of Montgomery Street and Willet Street on Nov. 17 after getting a report about an armed robbery.

The victim said he was walking on Montgomery Street when two men approached him, brandished a handgun, pointed it at him and demanded his money and cell phone.

The suspects then fled on Mill Street towards Belleville, police said.
