Bloomfield 2020 Election Results: School Board, Council Winners

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The 2020 election results have been certified in Bloomfield, and according to the county clerk's office, Jessica Salinas, Nadeisha Greene and Kasey Dudley have emerged victorious for seats on the board of education.

The three candidates for Bloomfield Township Council, Jenny Mundell (Ward 1), Nicholas Joanow (Ward 2) and Sarah Cruz (Ward 3), each ran unopposed.

This year's general election took place mostly by mail-in ballots due to the coronavirus pandemic.

BLOOMFIELD SCHOOL BOARD

A total of six people ran for three seats on the Bloomfield Board of Education. Each term lasts for three years. Candidates included Satenik Margaryan, Kasey Dudley, Nadeisha Greene, Jessica Salinas, Ellen Rogers and Thomas Heaney.

Here are the certified results, according to the Essex County Clerk’s Office:

• Kasey Dudley - 7,227
• Nadeisha Greene - 7,517
• Thomas Heaney - 6,340
• Satenik Margaryan - 5,500
• Ellen Rogers - 6,888
• Jessica Salinas - 8,531

BLOOMFIELD TOWN COUNCIL

In Bloomfield, there were three open seats on the Bloomfield Township Council. Each term lasts for three years.

Jenny Mundell (Ward 1), Nicholas Joanow (Ward 2) and Sarah Cruz (Ward 3), each ran unopposed for the Democratic nomination in their respective wards.

Here are the certified results, according to the Essex County Clerk’s Office:

Ward 1

• Jenny Mundell - 5,907

Ward 2

• Nicholas Joanow - 6,509

Ward 3

• Sarah Cruz - 6,269
