Bloomfield Animal Shelter Needs Dog Lover To Take A Bullet

It's been 45 days since Bullet's owner died. No family wanted to take him in. Can you help the Bloomfield Animal Shelter find him a home?

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — It’s been 45 days since Bullet’s owner died. No friends or family wanted to take him in. Now the Bloomfield Animal Shelter is trying to find the 5-year-old German Shepherd a new home… and they need the public’s help.

On Tuesday, the Bloomfield Animal Shelter shared the following post about Bullet, an adorable canine in its custody:

“It has now been 1.5 months since Bullet’s owner died, resulting in him moving to the shelter. No friends or family wanted to take him in, so it is now our job to help find a permanent home. Please share. Bullet is a 5 yr old German Shepherd who was recently surrendered after his owner died. He is available for adoption to experienced GS owners only. He is people friendly, dog selective, and doesn’t prefer cats. Bullet lived with his previous owner for just a few months as the only pet, and we aren’t sure of his life before then. He requires a strong handler. Meet him during daily adoption hours Mon-Fri 2pm-5pm, Wed 2pm-6pm, Sat-Sun 1pm-5pm. *Rescue assistance welcomed.” (Story continues below)
