BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A new partnership at Universal Technical Institute in Bloomfield will help create a school-to-work pipeline for Bloomfield area residents seeking a career with Ford.
Last month, Universal Technical Institute-Bloomfield launched the inaugural class of its Ford Accelerated Credential Training (FACT) program, a supplementary 15-week curriculum authorized by the Ford Motor Company.
UTI students who complete the program earn up to 11 Ford instructor-led classroom credentials and more than 80 web-based credentials, putting them on a fast-track for “master technician” status.

“We are delighted to welcome Ford’s FACT program to the campus,” said Steve McElfresh, UTI-Bloomfield campus president. “When this institute opened its doors a little over a year ago it was the first step to providing much-needed training and technicians for regional employers. The FACT program is the next big step.”
