Bloomfield Chorale Seeks Local Singers For Community Group

The Bloomfield Chorale is seeking new members in all voices - Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass. Drop in at a Rehearsal to meet and learn about the Group. Enjoy singing with us, expanding your musical knowledge, and practicing in an informal atmosphere. While previous Choral experience and the ability to read music are an advantage, they are not required. A good ear and pitch that we can cultivate are most welcome. Weekly Rehearsals for the Fall/Winter Season resume on September 17th. We rehearse from 7:30 to 9:30 pm on Tuesdays at the Bloomfield Civic Center, 84 Broad Street, Bloomfield. The Chorale is one of the oldest Community Choruses in New Jersey, originally organized in 1933, and is part of the Bloomfield Federation of Music. It is currently under the artistic direction of Ruth Hsu, a graduate of Bryn Mawr College with a Masters of Music from Westminster Choir College. The Chorale’s group of volunteer singers of all ages from Bloomfield and surrounding towns perform a wide variety of music –classical, pop, folk, sacred, & show tunes.
