Bring lawn chairs and blankets, and enjoy music under the summer sky in Bloomfield. See the schedule here.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Civic Band, conducted by Frank Ortega, will continue its longstanding summer tradition of holding free, outdoor concerts on the Town Green.
According to a news release from the band, the concerts will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday evenings in the month of July. Organizers wrote:
“Bring lawn chairs and blankets, and enjoy music under the summer sky. These concerts feature primarily light fare such as popular tunes from Broadway shows, themes from the movies, jazz, big band numbers and marches.”
In honor of Independence Day, the July 1 concert will reflect a patriotic theme, including a salute to the nation’s armed forces. On July 15, the Civic Band will perform “October,” a work composed by Eric Whitaker.
