Bloomfield Cops Say School ‘Threat’ Couldn’t Be Substantiated

Police investigated an alleged "threat of violence" at Bloomfield Middle School. Additional officers will be in the area on Wednesday.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Police investigated a “threat of violence” at Bloomfield Middle School on Wednesday, but didn’t find anything to substantiate the allegations, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Division of Public Safety, police have identified a person in connection with the alleged threat. That person is currently receiving medical care, authorities stated Wednesday night.

Bloomfield police said they will have additional officers in the area of the middle school “throughout the day” on Wednesday, Nov. 21.
