Bloomfield Coronavirus Cases Up More Than 6 Percent In 1 Week

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield's coronavirus case count continues to rise, according to statistics released Friday.
Essex County released its latest case and death totals on Jan. 15, including data for Bloomfield. The county noted that its daily report may not match state or municipal totals (here's why).
Bloomfield has seen 3,380 cumulative COVID-19 cases, a 6.59 percent increase since last week. There have been 92 deaths linked to the disease in the township, which has 49,973 residents, according to the most recent estimate from the U.S. Census.
