Bloomfield Creates More 'Reverse-Angle' Parking: See How It Works
VIDEO: Bloomfield officials say it makes parking safer and increases the number of spaces. But it looks a little backwards.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Not familiar with “reverse-angle parking?” If you’re planning to visit the area around Glenwood Avenue in Bloomfield, it may pay to brush up on how it works.
Bloomfield town officials recently offered an explanation about several new parking spaces that have popped up on the busy local thoroughfare. They wrote:
“In an effort to make parking safer and increase the number of available spots, the township has added more reverse-angle parking spaces on Glenwood Avenue. With this method of parking, car doors no longer open towards traffic and getting out of a space will be much easier. Please watch our video if you are not familiar with reverse-angle parking.”
