Bloomfield DPW: If Weekend Snow Comes, Here’s What To Do

If the bad weather hits in Bloomfield, the township's snow removal team is ready, officials say.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — If the snow hits in Bloomfield, the township’s snow removal team is ready, officials say. That was Friday’s message from municipal officials as weather forecasters call for a "winter weather advisory" in North Jersey.

According to a Bloomfield Department of Public Works news release:

“Our latest specialized weather forecast is calling for a possibility of 2 to 5 inches of snow, starting sometime between 5 and 8 a.m. tomorrow morning. We have been prepared for snow since October and are ready to salt and plow if and when needed.

“At this point, if it becomes a plowing event we ask that if you have a driveway, please utilize it, as it makes plowing much more efficient and safe. We also request that if you have a portable basketball rim on the street, that you remove it so our plows can do their job.

“We realize tomorrow is a shopping day for many and we will do our best to get the streets accessible as soon as possible.
