“Nancy and Malcolm Minor were married at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York City on September 12, 1954. As a young mom, Nancy was an active member of the Junior League of Montclair, principally as a Mountainside Hospital volunteer and costumer for their extensive Children’s Theater programs. She also taught Sunday school at Central Presbyterian Church, was a Girl Scout Brownie troop leader, and served as class mother and chaperone in the public schools.

“With her sister Rebecca Reese, Nancy opened Montclair’s first custom needle point boutique, Potpourri, in the Artists’ Block on Midland Avenue.

“Nancy was extremely creative and loved sewing whether it be for the home, costumes or dresses for her daughter, Allyson. She loved to knit, needlepoint, read, and cook. She longed for the days of summer when she would head down to their house on LBI with her 5 children.

“Nancy was a patron of PAWS and was a lifelong advocate for the humane treatment of animals.

“Nancy Minor is survived by her sister Rebecca Reese; her son Malcolm and wife Kimberly, Michael and wife Elissa, daughter Allyson and husband Rainer Hombach, Tony and wife Rosemary, and Timothy and wife Diana. She is survived by her 9 grandchildren, Rachael, Malcolm, Eric, Carolyn, Juliet, Katherine, Evan, Owen and Morgan.”
