Bloomfield Restaurant Week 2018 Is Making Local Stomachs Happy
Have you tried a new restaurant in Bloomfield during the annual "Restaurant Week?" Let us know how it went in the comments section.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield Restaurant Week is back for 2018… have you tried a new dish yet?
The annual event – which kicked off on Aug. 4 and runs until Sunday, Aug. 12 - includes more than 25 local eateries this year. It’s long served as a defacto “who’s who” for local foodies, who have an enticing reason to venture out of their homes this year: free two-hour parking beginning at 11 a.m. at “bagged” meters courtesy of the Bloomfield Parking Utility (see photo below).
A list of 2018 participating restaurants can be seen here.

Bloomfield parents who need someone to look after the kids while they dine can take advantage of the Bloomfield Recreation Department’s "Drop & Dine" nights at the Civic Center. The supervised events take place from 6 to 9 p.m. from Aug. 9 to 11, and are open to children in grades K-6 (fee: $20 per night, per child).
According to a municipal news release, there will be a hands-on class for children to participate in each night: August 9 – Minds In Motion, August 10 – Chef it Up, August 11 – You Scream, Ice Cream. Space is limited. Call 973-743-9074 to register or online at www.bloomfieldrecreation.org.

“Bloomfield Restaurant Week is one of the most eagerly-anticipated annual events our township has to offer,” said Mayor Michael Venezia. “We are thrilled that so many local establishments have enjoyed participating over the past six years and look forward to many more joining in this year’s festivities. Our residents get to have great meals for less than they normally would pay for them and Bloomfield restaurants receive added exposure for taking part - It’s a win-win for everyone.”
