“For these reasons and after detailed consultation with the board of education, I must inform you of our decision to delay our planned school reopening on January 25 of this month. Although I am unable to provide a revised reopening date as of this time of this correspondence, I will be providing an update to the community at the February 23 board meeting regarding the safety and practicality of reopening for a hybrid/live model sometime thereafter. As I have said in the past, and what continues to be my priority, is my concern for your safety, and until my next update in February may God bless you, your family, and your loved ones.”
