Bloomfield Singer MonCherie Spices up the Holidays

Songstress puts adult twist on holiday.

Looking for some spice in your eggnog this winter? “Jingle Bell Rock” not risqué enough for your holiday music needs?

Put MonCherie’s “No Santa” on the top of your Christmas list.

In the song, MonCherie, a Bloomfield College student, puts herself squarely on the naughty list, dismissing G-rated holiday fare in favor of the sort of cheer reserved for dance-floor and the bedroom.

“People are always talking about Santa Claus, gifts, Charlie Brown Christmas CDs and other stuff,” MonCherie said in an email. “We decided this year we don’t want Santa, we want to have fun and party.”

The infectious Caribbean dance-pop tune is joined by non-seasonal songs featured on MonCherie’s website Moncheriemusic.com and her YouTube channel
