BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Maybe he’ll study biology. Maybe it will be neuroscience. But whatever career path Bloomfield High School senior Emmanuel Odekunle chooses, his future promises to be a bright one.
Odekunle has been accepted into 15 colleges and universities, including Ivy League schools such as Brown University, Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania. He recently told the Daily Voice that although he’s undecided, he eventually plans to attend medical school and to become a doctor.
Odekunle – whose family immigrated to the United States from Nigeria – said that he wants to enter the field of medicine because of his “deep-rooted passion to help others” and his “keenness for science,” the Daily Voice reported.
