Phase two of the Coronavirus Emergency Rental Assistance Program will be launched and it will provide temporary assistance to people that have had a substantial reduction in income, have qualified for unemployment benefits, incurred significant costs, or experienced a financial hardship due, directly or indirectly, to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Through no fault of their own, many residents have lost their jobs or a source of income during the COVID-19 crisis. This has caused many people to fall behind on numerous bills including rent payments,” said Mayor Venezia. “If you have been negatively impacted financially, you may qualify for this state assistance and you should apply as soon as the portal opens to potentially receive financial aid.”
Pre-applications will be accepted beginning at 9am on Monday, March 22 at https://njdca.onlinepha.com, and assistance is available at 609-490-4550.
