Bridge Repairs In Bloomfield Finished; Road Open To Traffic
Work at the bridge, which spans the Garden State Parkway, included repaving Belleville Avenue and deck replacement.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Fixes to the Belleville Avenue bridge in Bloomfield are finished and the roadway is open to traffic both ways again, authorities recently announced.
Work at the bridge – which spans the Garden State Parkway – began about three weeks ago. Repairs included repaving Belleville Avenue in both directions and bridge deck replacement. They were paid for by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, as part of their bridge maintenance program, Bloomfield township officials said.
Repairs finished on Oct. 19, officials said.
