Cops: Alert Neighbors Lead to Loaded Machine Gun, Hollow-Point Bullets Discovery

Four Irvington men arrested after they were seen looking into parked cars in the area of Berkeley and Bloomfield avenues, police said.

Four Irvington men with a loaded machine gun and handgun were arrested this week after nearby residents saw them looking into parked cars in the area of Berkeley and Bloomfield avenues, police said.

Pierre Cadet, 18, Shlindy Damestoir, 20, Jonathan Philippe, 21, and Benson Philippe, 23, were arrested Monday on Berkeley Avenue, according to NJ.com.

A loaded Tec-9 machine gun and a loaded Glock model 27 were found on the floor of their car, according to the report. Police also found hollow-point bullets, the report said.

The men face possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of an assault firearm, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a defaced assault firearm, possession of hollow-point bullets, possession of body-armor penetrating bullets, possession of a large-capacity magazine and other charges.
