Deadline for Rec. Dept. House Decorating Contest Friday

The Bloomfield Recreation Department is holding a holiday house decoration contest. Submit a digital photo and/or entry form via email to mschaffer@bloomfieldtwpnj.com or in person to the Bloomfield Civic Center, 84 Broad Street by Friday.  The winner will be announced by Dec. 21 and will receive a free family dinner at Angelo’s Restaurant and Pizzeria.

Bloomfield schools are showcasing their music talent this week. The Demarest Holiday Concert is on Friday.

On Saturday afternoon from 1 to 4, Bloomfield’s Children’s Holiday Program will take place at the Bloomfield Civic Center, 84 Broad St. The event includes refreshments, arts & crafts, face painting and bring a camera to get a picture with Santa.

The Bloomfield Neighborhood Associations Committee meets at 10 a.m. in the second floor conference room in the police building (corner of Franklin and Montgomery) on Saturday. Members will consider the township’s traditional political candidate forums and solicit ideas for future speakers and discuss as ways to encourage more residents to attend BNAC meetings.
