Dog In Nutley May Have Been Thrown From Car: Bloomfield Shelter

The animal was found wrapped in a urine-soaked towel and was "possibly thrown from a vehicle," according to the Bloomfield Animal Shelter.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A dog found in Nutley and taken to the Bloomfield Animal Shelter last weekend may have been thrown from a car, staff say.

According to the Bloomfield Animal Shelter, a small, white-furred dog was found at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday on Locust Street in Nutley. The animal was discovered wrapped in a urine-soaked towel and was "possibly thrown from a vehicle."

The dog is a young, adult, intact male with no collar, chips or tags. It was brought to the shelter’s veterinarian office due to seizing and possible injuries.

“Please call 973-748-0194 with information,” the shelter wrote.

On Monday, the shelter offered a sad update on the situation, writing that the dog passed away overnight at its vets office.
