ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — It’s time to balance the commercialized madness of the modern holiday season with some kindness and charity, Essex County. It’s “Giving Tuesday,” a global answer to Black Friday and Cyber Monday where the kindhearted try to recognize some of the nonprofits and groups that help to make life a little bit better for us all.

Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving, according to givingtuesday.org.
