Foundation Offers Scholarships for Bloomfield, Belleville and Glen Ridge Students

The Suburban Essex Chamber of Commerce Foundation plans to recognize three academic recipients with a 2015 scholarship award.

According to a release, recipients must be a graduating senior and reside in Bloomfield, Belleville or Glen Ridge. The foundation will select one award recipient from each town.

Applications are available at each town high school’s guidance counselor office. Interested applicants can also contact Cecelia Polizzi or Donna Pietroiacovo at 973-748-2000 for more information.

The application submission deadline is Friday, April 17.

According to the application, the criteria for the Suburban Essex Chamber of Commerce Scholarship are based on the following:

· Financial need

· Fall attendance at a college, university, or vocational school

· Intention to pursue a career that is business oriented

· Extra-curricular/community activities

Applicants should be ready to provide:

· GPA Scores

· Letter of Recommendation(s): School, Teachers, Organizations, etc.

· Acceptance letters from colleges
