Fresh Paint For Flag Deposit Box

Bloomfield’s Public Works & Parks Department has given the flag deposit box in front of town hall a refreshed look.  

Township employee Chris Richardson cleaned and painted the box, which is meant for proper disposal of used flags.  

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Miles A. Suarez Post No. 711 donated the box. VFW Post 711 has long been recognized as a leading state VFW Post for its community service work.  

Each year Post 711 give out an Outstanding Citizen of Bloomfield award and honors Bloomfield High School Seniors that attain high marks in American History.   

Bloomfield is a proud partner with the VFW Post 711, its partner in the annual Memorial Day Parade honoring our local veterans.
