Get Ready for Some Football Tomorrow

Patch's picks for the day in Bloomfield.

The Zoning Board meets on Thursday night, and is considering two minor actions.  

On Friday night, the Bloomfield High School Football Bengals start their season on Friday night with a home game at Foley Field against Irvington High. 

On Sunday, the Final Event of the Bloomfield Bicentennial Committee will take place at 2 p.m. at the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center. A time capsule containing memorabilia collected throughout the year-long event will be interred in the newly refurbished Rose Garden.

Bloomfield’s knitting group holds its weekly meeting at the library at 11 a.m. on Friday. Organizers say there’s no teacher, just friendly crafters and suggest interested parties wander in anytime after it starts with their own projects and enjoy.
