Gunshots Fired Outside Bar In Bloomfield: Police

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Gunshots were fired at a vehicle outside a bar in Bloomfield last weekend, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers were called to the scene of a fight on the 100-block of Bloomfield Avenue on Saturday.

Here’s what happened next, police said:

“Upon arrival, officers were advised that there was a report of shots being fired in that same area. During the investigation, two shell casings were recovered from in front of the establishment. The initial report of the fight involved unknown suspect(s) and the security manager of the establishment. The initial fight then ensued into two gunshots being fired at a vehicle.”

An investigation is ongoing, police said Thursday.
