Cozen O'Connor Attorney Jennifer Queliz Selected as a Fellow to the 2019 National Employment Law Council Academy
Cozen O’Connor attorney Jennifer Queliz, an associate in the firm’s Labor and Employment practice in New York, has been selected as a Fellow to the 2019 National Employment Law Council (NELC) Academy - for the second year. She is one of only 31 Fellows chosen nationwide to participate in this year’s NELC Academy.
Queliz is a fourth-year associate, whose practice runs the gamut of labor and employment law. She represents both public and private-sector clients in matters involving claims of discrimination, wage and hour violations, non-competition agreements and other restrictive covenants, Family and Medical Leave Act issues.
NELC, a non-profit organization charged with enriching minority bar members who represent management in the field of labor and employment law, conducts a highly competitive process in selecting Academy Fellows from amongst the pre-eminent employment defense practices across the country.

Held in conjunction with NELC’s annual conference, the NELC Academy provides advanced skills training for minority attorneys with less than five years of experience practicing management-side labor and employment law, exposes them to NELC’s national network of experienced labor and employment attorneys and fosters mentoring relationships.
A native of Nanuet, New York, Queliz received her law degree from Fordham University School of Law (J.D., 2015) and her undergraduate degree in Dance from Fordham University, College at Lincoln Center (B.F.A., 2007). Prior to, and throughout law school, she spent six years in various roles with the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Queliz graduated from Nanuet Senior High School in 2003. She currently resides in Bloomfield, New Jersey with her husband and son.
