Lost, Injured Dog In Bloomfield Likely Hit By Car: Shelter

Can you help get this lost, injured pooch found in Bloomfield home in time for Thanksgiving?

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Animal Shelter is asking for help finding the owner of an injured dog found on Wednesday, Nov. 21. The canine was likely hit by a car, shelter staff said.

According to a social media post from the municipally run shelter, the dog was found around 7:30 a.m. on Willard Avenue between Franklin Street and Bloomfield Avenue. Staff described it as a “small male with no chip, collar or tags.”

Staff said the dogs injuries are “most likely due to being hit by a car.”

“The dog is at our vet’s office,” the shelter stated. “Please call us at 973-748-0194 if you are the owner of this dog.”
