Man Overdoses On Bus; Glen Ridge Cops Give Narcan: Authorities
Glen Ridge police officers successfully administered Narcan to a man who suffered a drug overdose aboard a NJ Transit bus, authorities said.
GLEN RIDGE, NJ — Glen Ridge police officers successfully administered Narcan to a man who suffered a drug overdose aboard a NJ Transit bus earlier this month, authorities said.
The Glen Ridge Police Department released the following statement about the incident, which took place at 3:28 p.m. on Sept. 5:
“Sergeant Matthew Koc and Officer Carl Abrahamsen responded to Bloomfield Avenue for a male party suspected of a drug overdose on a NJ Transit bus. The officers met with the driver of the bus who directed them to the patient. Upon evaluating the patient, officers administered Narcan to the victim. After successfully administering Narcan to the victim, he was transported by the Glen Ridge Ambulance Squad to the hospital.”
